SIS Facilitator/Consultant

Description:Consult with clients on integrating Safety Instrumented System (SIS) program and strategies for instruments, using an APM system, to track the effectiveness of the SIS recommendations over time. This will include installation, setup and training of Meridium's SIS solutions. You will consult with Meridium clients on implementing SIS initiatives and using industry-proven methodologies to develop effective vision and inspection strategies.
Duties:• Assist clients in setting the vision and direction and strategies for the SIS program
• Satisfy a customer's maintenance and inspection planning requirements by applying practical knowledge of how to implement Maintenance Plans, Maintenance Items, and Task Lists
• Provide SIS facilitation
Qualifications:• 5-10 years instrumentation/electrical engineering and plant maintenance
• Experience preferable with clients based out of the US and/or the European Union countries
• Instrumentation/electrical design and project management experience
• Safety Instrumented System design and testing experience with the following analysis experience
o HAZOP's
o LOPA
o FMEA
o RCA
• Experience working with DCS and PLC systems
• Have experience with of one or more production processes in the refining, petrochemical, metals industries and is confident to venture into other processes which he has not necessarily have direct experience of
• Experience writing project plans and developing design specifications for electrical, instrumentation and process control systems
• Experience working with automated calibration management systems such as AMS, ProCal, Bluke Mountain, Beamex and/or Conerstone
• Experience with developing and performing training on software systems
• Preferably have experience working on database system such as SQL Server and/or Oracle
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
• TUV Functional Safety Engineering certification is a plus
• Ability to write requirements/specifications
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally 50 - 75%
