| Description: | Overview:
This position performs complex testing tasks requiring planning, scheduling, automated script writing and manual testing to assure that developed products meet requirements and design specifications and are within total quality management limits and standards. Working within a delivery team, the QA Engineer II communicates with product developers and technical support specialists to identify software defects found in various products.

| Duties: | Responsibilities:
• Develops and maintains automated test scripts.
• Defines test objectives, creates test plans and develops manual or automated test cases and procedures.
• Performs complex testing and leadership tasks on complex projects including the planning, scheduling and implementation of testing projects.
• Executes software applications tests generating test data and metrics, communicating test status and analyzing results.
• Participates successfully and influences quality on assigned teams.
• Helps establish guidelines for testing and for software development.
• Manage priorities when assigned to multiple teams.
• Records defects (using bug tracking software), including documenting information useful in the debugging process, evaluating test data, problem discovery, tracking and resolution.
• Provide test results to management and customers that are clear and concise.
• Acting as the “costumer advocate” on quality issues, researches and develops an understanding of the marketing and/or industry requirements for the product feature being tested, including how the users use the feature and their performance requirements for the features.
• Responsible for recognizing and making management aware of process problems and defects being overlooked that may be critical to product’s usability.
• Learn basics of underlying Meridium technology (databases, windows, IIS, etc.)

| Qualifications: | Qualifications:
• 1-2 years experience with Automation Test Tools/Frameworks(Mercury QuickTest Pro, JUnit, etc.)
• 3-4 years of practical Software Testing experience with Client/Server Applications, ideally including Web, Database, and .Net.
• Familiar with relational database design and good knowledge of SQL.
• Experience with black box and white box testing techniques and methodologies.
• Experience with functional, regression, performance and stability testing.
• Experience working in a development team environment and ability to influence the quality of the product in that environment.
• Proven written/verbal communication skills.
• Excellent problem solving/troubleshooting skills.
