Description:The Product Manager (PM) is responsible for the overall lifecycle management of GridPoint’s hardware products targeted at the enterprise. The products include the Energy Management System controllers including the ADM-3612, ADM-1204, ADM-Basic, and peripherals. These products provide disruptive potential to the way the enterprise manages energy by controlling and monitoring energy usage. The PM will define product requirements, create the overall offer, and track market, customer, and competitive trends. The PM will own core product messaging, pricing, SKU creation, content creation, and facilitate feature trade-off decisions for future releases. The PM will serve as the primary interface to development for the business and will deliver the offer, positioning, and core content to Marcom to support launches and other marketing programs. The PM must be an expert communicator and product packager, ensuring the best product ships for our existing and new customers. The PM will work closely with development, corporate marketing, sales, customers, and partners to ensure the quality and viability of the product for our key markets. Product Management goals and objectives include viewing the product from a P&L perspective as well as overall growth of revenue and customers.
Duties:• Manage the product through entire lifecycle • Work with customers, partners, sales and development to gather requirements and drive product planning roadmap and custom feature requests. • Product pricing • Product positioning and content creation • Product Roadmap • Act as product evangelist to partners, customers & at events • Perform competitive analysis and research • Use metrics to measure effectiveness and drive improvement • Act as bridge between corporate marketing and development
Qualifications:• 5+ years of product management experience • 5+ years of enterprise grade hardware and firmware • Experience with commercial and industrial electric power • Passion for technology • Technical understanding of enterprise grade products • Strong analytical skills • Expert PowerPoint creator • Excellent communications skills including writing, speaking, & facilitating • Excellent product positioning & messaging skills • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously • Ability to handle ambiguity • Creative thinker who can bring product marketing excellence to a start up • BS required, MBA preferred
